Audio cuts out during stream

Check output devices, local sound files, and production audio routing when alert audio stops.

Quick checks

If alert audio cuts out during a live session, first confirm the issue is isolated to Konduit. Play a local system sound, then test a Konduit alert sound from the app.

Check the output device

macOS and Windows can change the default output device when headphones, capture cards, or virtual audio devices reconnect. Open system sound settings and confirm the device you monitor during the show is still selected.

Keep alert sounds local

Use local audio files stored on the machine that runs Konduit. Cloud-synced folders can pause file access during a live session and create delays.

Avoid competing audio routes

OBS, browser sources, virtual mixers, and capture cards can all own different audio routes. Konduit should be treated as the alert-control surface, while your production stack decides how final audio reaches the show mix.

Email support@konduit.gg with your operating system, Konduit version, audio device name, and the approximate time the audio stopped.
